Does your region or city have a specific project that targets the objectives of the European Green Deal? Has your region or city set a target to reduce GHG emissions by 2030 or 2050? Then this new call is right for you.

The COVID-19 pandemic and the energy crisis caused by the war in Ukraine have shown how important the close interaction between the environment and citizens is. At the same time, the threat of natural hazards, environmental risks, ecosystem degradation and global warming has not lost its relevance, and climate action is more urgent than ever. Cities and regions are key players when it comes to delivering the goals of the European Green Deal and driving the EU closer to climate neutrality.

To further promote regional and local action towards the Green Deal, the European Committee of the Regions is launching a new call for best practices and climate commitments to all CoR members and alternates, YEPs and members of the European Network of Local and Regional Councillors. Projects will feed the platform of best practices that showcase how cities and regions are contributing to a green recovery as to reach a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient society.

Members and alternates, YEPs and members of the network of local and regional councillors are invited to share their recently achieved or ongoing projects and initiatives on the following themes:
