Innovative Solution for Video Service Providers, Allowing Faster and Easier QA Process.

NEXTLab, a leading company in Korea with over 10 years of experience in perceptual quality solutions, will be participating in the upcoming IBC 2024 event. The company has been closely working with major telecom operators in Korea, ensuring end-to-end perceptual quality for IPTV and network performance. At IBC 2024, NEXTLab will introduce NEXTLab Evo, a QA automation solution designed for video service providers. NEXTLab Evo offers powerful automation features that make it easier and faster to perform QA tasks.

Solving QA Challenges for Video Service Providers

Video service providers invest a lot on QA testing to improve the quality of their services. However, QA teams face challenges such as creating new test scenarios, managing different device settings, and training QA staffs. This process requires significant time and manpower, which ultimately increases costs. NEXTLab Evo is built to solve these problems.

NEXTLab Evo has added various features to address the challenges faced by international customers, based on years of experience solving issues with major telecom operators in Korea.

- UI Map Creation and Automated Navigation: With AI Technology, the system automatically navigates menus and creates maps, making it easier to adapt to UI changes. Even if the menu position change, the scenarios can be used without modification, saving maintenance time.

- Automatic Scenario Generation: The system reads user’s remote-control inputs to automatically create test scenarios, greatly reducing the time needed compared to other solutions that require manual scenario creation.

- Automatic Data Storage: The system automatically saves data such as video, audio, logs, and remote control history for up to 30 minutes, even when not actively testing. This data can be used to find and fix unexpected issues.

Later this year, NEXTLab Evo plans to launch a control service that will allow centralized management of multiple Evo systems. This service will let users share test cases and create reports, helping administrators manage QA processes more efficiently.

SungMin Kim, NEXTLab CEO said, “a practical automation system is a key challenge many providers face in the rapidly changing video QA testing market.” He added, “We are expanding from Korea to the global market and aim to showcase our QA automation technology internationally.”

IBC 2024 will take place from September 13 to 16 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Visitors can find NEXTLab at Hall 3.A49, where they can see NEXTLab Evo demo and learn how its automation technology can improve the quality of video services.
