Continental and Vitesco Technologies Reach Agreement on Allocation of Investigation Costs

Vitesco Technologies to pay Continental €125 million
- Crucial step by both companies toward concluding the matter
Hanover/Regensburg, September 26, 2024. Continental and Vitesco Technologies have reached an agreement based on their corporate separation agreement regarding the appropriate allocation of costs and liabilities from the investigations in connection with the supply of engine control units and engine control software. Accordingly, Vitesco Technologies will pay Continental €125 million. The costs and liabilities from the investigations comprise the fines imposed (by the public prosecutor’s offices in Hanover and Frankfurt am Main, Germany) and the costs of clarifying the facts of the case. The two companies have thus taken a crucial step toward concluding the matter.
