Hanover, Germany, May 2, 2023 - "Smart Port – Better Flow": this is the theme under which Continental Specialty Tires will present at this year's TOC Europe in Rotterdam from June 13 to 15, 2023. Federico Jiménez, Head of Business Field Port Operation Tires, explains: "We are seeing growing need among our customers to further automate their processes, especially at major ports. In this regard, tires play a crucial role in ensuring the terminal infrastructure of tomorrow functions seamlessly.”

ContiConnect 2.0 Digital tire management solution and new sensor

With digital solutions such as ContiConnect 2.0 and the associated maintenance support, Continental offers its customers more efficient and sustainable fleet management. A product highlight at the booth will be the new Bluetooth-capable sensor which enables tire data to be read directly from a smartphone. Continental will offer a fascinating insight into ContiConnect 2.0 at the trade fair. Visitors will find Continental at booth F54.

Making smart ports a reality

Teck Seng Chew, Product Manager for Port Operation Tires: "We look forward to bringing the smart port of the future into the present and sharing our vision of tomorrow's port operations." Since the realignment of Continental Specialty Tires, Federico Jiménez has taken over the management of the Business Field Tires for Port Operations. He is supported by Teck Seng Chew, who was appointed product manager in March. Under the new structure, customer and market needs are the focus of Continental’s developments in order to increase efficiency, safety and sustainability in the port business.
