Scalable digital solutions enable modern port operations
Continental offers an integrated product range of V.ply, radial and solid tires specially tailored to the demanding environment of a port terminal. For the first time, Continental will present a complementary digital solution portfolio unique to the port segment. It consists of tailor-made scalable solutions suited to different application situations, such as ContiConnect, the reliable fleet management platform for large port operation fleets and ContiConnect Lite, a leaner free-of-charge version for mobile devices that does not require any additional hardware other than the Gen2 tire sensor. There is also Continental’s new entry-level solution: the new Valve Cap Sensor for efficient tire pressure monitoring and with easy installation directly at the tire valve. With these three adaptable solutions, port operators can achieve greater sustainability and efficiency based on their individual fleets’ needs. Teck Seng Chew, Product Manager for Port Operation Tires, gives an outlook on the trade fair:
We are looking forward to three exciting days where we will show that our intelligent tires are an indispensable part of the digital infrastructure of a smart port.
