Building on the original Master of Speed, the new 50mm size brings its cross-country race pedigree to aggressive gravel riding.

- The narrower profile improves rolling efficiency while maintaining the grip and control required across rocky, hardpack and mixed off-road conditions.

- Optimized for modern gravel racing, the Dubnital 50mm combines speed, braking traction and cornering stability to give riders the confidence to push harder on technical courses.

Hanover, Germany, April 16, 2026: Continental has expanded its tire portfolio with the launch of the Dubnital 50mm, introducing a new size designed to meet the evolving demands of modern gravel riding.

Originally engineered for rapid cross-country racing, the Dubnital has earned a reputation as a fast-rolling tire capable of delivering speed without compromising control. Already popular among gravel riders in its 55mm size, the addition of the 50mm option extends Continental’s offering in the increasingly aggressive terrain found in modern gravel racing.

The Dubnital 50mm features a tread pattern optimized for dry to damp conditions across rocky, hardpack and medium-loose soils. A fast-rolling center section promotes efficient straight-line speed, while pronounced shoulder knobs provide the braking traction and cornering stability needed when surfaces become rough or unpredictable.

Built with Continental’s latest Tubeless Ready and hookless-compatible technologies, the tire is designed to perform reliably with modern wheel systems while maintaining the performance and control riders expect from the Dubnital.

As gravel courses become faster, rougher and more technical, the Dubnital 50mm is becoming a go-to option for riders looking for the balance of speed, control and reliability needed to tackle demanding terrain.

Rosa Klöser, 2024 Life Time UNBOUND Gravel 200 winner and Continental Tires ambassador, said:

For me, the Dubnital 50mm is one of the most anticipated tires in gravel right now. Considering the clearance of most gravel bikes, adding a 50mm Dubnital will make a lot of gravel fans very happy - including myself. The tire inspires a huge amount of confidence, especially in corners where you can really maximize your speed thanks to its incredible grip and braking control. But what stands out for me is its versatility – it’s not just for technical gravel! It’s a fast, reliable all-rounder for riders who want extra comfort, grip, and durability without sacrificing speed.

For XC and down country riding, the Dubnital remains a fast option for light mixed off-road and hard-packed terrain. In gravel applications, the new 50mm size unlocks a more aggressive setup for riders tackling rougher courses and unpredictable conditions.

Alexander Haenke, MTB and Gravel Product Manager, Continental Tires, said: “With the introduction of the Dubnital 50mm, we are removing the boundaries between mountain biking and gravel once and for all. The Dubnital already surpassed its predecessor, the Race King, and now confidently straddles the line between the gravel and MTB segments.

In this 50mm dimension, it hits a distinct sweet spot for technically demanding off‑road races such as Traka, The Rift, or Badlands. The Dubnital 50mm delivers its well‑proven off‑road performance paired with low rolling resistance, high puncture protection, and low weight — a trend born in the racing scene, now available to everyone.
