Hannover, Germany, October 24, 2023. The editors of the German specialist magazine "sportauto" rated the WinterContact TS 870 P as "very good" in their latest winter tire test (issue 11/23). For the test, the experts examined several winter tire models in the size 225/40 R18 on an Audi S3 Sportback in a total of 19 criteria’s in Finland.
In addition to its "very balanced" driving behavior, the WinterContact TS 870 P scored top marks for braking on snow and handling on dry roads, as well as for its low rolling resistance.

was how the editors summed up the results of their road tests with the Continental winter tire. The WinterContact TS 870 and WinterContact TS 870 P are Continental's latest winter tires. They are suitable for tires on combustion and electrically powered vehicles.
The WinterContact TS 870 was developed for cars from the mini to the mid-size class. Sportier, compact passenger cars can also get through the cold season safely with Continental's winter tire. The wide product range includes tires for rims between 14 and 18 inches, with cross sections between 40 and 70 percent and widths from 155 to 225 millimeters - including those with rim protection ribs as well as XL marking for increased load-bearing capacity. Speed ratings go up to 240 km/h.
The WinterContact TS 870 P is available for larger cars and SUVs with powerful engines. It offers short braking distances, precise handling, and safe driving characteristics on dry, wet, and wintry roads. The range includes tires for rims between 16 and 22 inches, with cross sections between 30 and 70 percent and widths between 205 and 325 millimeters. The WinterContact TS 870 P has been approved by leading European vehicle manufacturers, with speed ratings up to 270 km/h.
