Hanover, Germany, November 20, 2025. The tire manufacturer Continental ensures safety and efficiency in the Hyundai IONIQ 9. For the all-electric SUV, Continental's 21-inch PremiumContact C tire with XL marking for increased load capacity and rim protection rib receives original equipment approval. In addition, the ContiSilent technology in the tire ensures improved driving comfort and particularly low interior noise.

The PremiumContact C is a tire model designed specifically for use during the warmer season on heavy SUVs and crossover vehicles. Continental's premium tire offers reliable safety, high comfort and improved mileage. In addition, it convinces with a more robust design, which enables a higher load-bearing capacity. This means that it meets the demands of large and heavy electric vehicles in particular. The innovative tread design with adaptive sipe technology enables precise handling at all times, even under full load, on both dry and wet roads. At the same time, the extended contact patch ensures optimum ground pressure distribution and thus reduced rolling noise and short braking distances.

For the Hyundai IONIQ 9, the PremiumContact C has also been equipped with ContiSilent technology. It reduces the noise components of the tire-road noise inside the vehicle, which are perceived as particularly annoying, by up to nine decibels.
