GlobalData has recognised Telefónica as a leading provider of global enterprise mobility services. In its recent report, ‘Global Enterprise Mobility Services: Competitive Landscape Assessment’, the research firm views Telefónica as a “Leader” for its operations, managed services, and professional services in enterprise mobility, while noting Telefónica’s very strong capabilities in connectivity, unified device management, mobile security, device lifecycle management and enterprise applications.

Eugenia Ramírez Reyes-Retana, Director of Corporate Strategy at Telefónica, says:

With this recognition, GlobalData highlights the maturity and established market presence of our ‘Smart Workplace’ value proposition. At Telefónica, where we face the challenge of becoming the best gateway for citizens, businesses and public administrations to access digital technologies, we offer a comprehensive and flexible range of services to our customers, thanks to our robust connectivity solutions and our extensive partners network, which enable us to provide services in regions where we do not have a physical presence.

With this recognition, Telefónica reinforces its goal of becoming a more innovative and competitive company, offering more and better services to customers. It has a broad portfolio of business mobility services to equip connected employees with advanced features to boost their productivity. These include services related to connectivity and mobility, as well as security, messaging and meetings, cloud-based office solutions, business applications, corporate social media and its generative AI platform (GenAI).

In the field of connectivity, the company has developed new 5G-based commercial offerings for innovative use cases such as robots, drones and remote support, with the aim of driving automation and efficiency within organisations and enhancing control in critical business environments. Furthermore, Telefónica has also implemented 5G network slicing for business customers, deploying it commercially in emergency networks, public services, private virtual mobile networks and remote video production.

Mobile security remains one of the key differentiating features of Telefónica’s offering. The company provides advanced capabilities including protection against mobile threats, biometric and signature-based authentication, application reputation analysis, anti-malware, mobile behaviour analysis, mobile clean pipes (i.e. protecting traffic before it reaches the device by acting directly on the operator’s network), communications encryption and advanced authentication systems to strengthen the protection of corporate digital environments.

Furthermore, Telefónica is driving enterprise mobility with advanced professional services, which include both traditional IT consultancy and comprehensive management of mobility services tailored to the specific needs of each sector, featuring new device support capabilities and generative artificial intelligence solutions. Through the GenAI platform, developed in-house using OpenAI technology, the company is helping to improve the employee experience, drive hyper-automation and optimise productivity, collaboration, security and operational efficiency within organisations.
