Don Felipe receives in audience the Board of Trustees of the FIE

Don Felipe today received in audience the Board of Trustees of the Ibero-American Business Foundation (FIE) on the occasion of its 10th anniversary.

The FIE aims to contribute to an Ibero-American agenda with practical content, promoting recommendations and proposals in favour of economic integration, sustainable development and the extension of well-being among Ibero-American countries. To this end, it fosters the integration of the countries of the Ibero-American Community; promotes the internationalisation of multi- Ibero-American companies; and acts as a think tank to gather the opinions of experts, multilateral organisations and political actors to draw up recommendations that improve people’s lives in areas such as digitalisation, energy transition and talent mobility.

Following the death of Josep Piqué, President of the FIE, the Board of Trustees of the Ibero-American Business Foundation chose Telefónica for its Presidency due to its recognised track record of investment and commitment to the region. Representing Telefónica, the presidency falls to Trinidad Jiménez García-Herrera, Telefónica’s Director of Global Public Affairs Strategy, who had already been First Vice-President of the Foundation since 2017.
