• The COP27 being held these days in Egypt is calling for an effort to migrate to renewable energies in order to reach the target of zero net emissions in 2050, which Telefónica has committed to reach 10 years earlier.

• According to the report 'Connectivity Solutions. Life Cycle Analysis', the environmental impact of Telefónica España's fibre to the home (FTTH) is 18 times less than that of copper.

• As for mobile networks, the environmental impact of 4G/5G has been shown to be 7 times lower than 2G/3G due to more efficient and lower energy consumption during data transport and processing in the network system.

• 84% of the Telefónica Group's consumption comes from renewable energies, which is already 100% in its main markets (Spain, Germany, Brazil and the United Kingdom), as well as Peru and Chile.
